TESTanSAVE Water Containment System
TESTanSAVE is a water containment system for fire sprinkler systems that recirculates the test water through the system during testing instead of discharging the test water to the outside. NFPA 25 requires regular testing for a sprinkler system to work effectively. Each sprinkler system test requires flowing water through a test orifice to simulate activation. Usually, test water is then released outside of the building, which wastes numerous gallons of water each test cycle. In this age of water conservation, AGF offers an alternative. TESTanSAVE recirculates the sprinkler system test water back through the supply riser to eliminate the need to reintroduce new water into the sprinkler system during testing.
By eliminating the introduction of freshly oxygenated water in the system, TESTanSAVE may also assist in slowing the rate of internal corrosion. To complete your corrosion mitigation efforts, AGF also recommends PURGEnVENT to remove trapped air and CORRinSITE to monitor corrosion.
It's three-step process is simple. First, water is brought in to perform the inspector's test on the first floor. Next, instead of water draining to the outside, TESTanSAVE recirculates test water into the system. Then, the recirculated water is used to perform the inspector's test on all of the additional floors.
